Making Vegan Sexy

There is only one person I know who could pull this off. It’s 63 year old Karyn Calabrese, one of the most popular and innovative leaders in the holistic health industry. Karyn opened her third Chicago restaurant called “Karyn’s On Green” six months ago. It’s located on South Green Street and is a must see and dine. The decor, ambience, and food are fantastic. The restaurant is light and open with a center waterfall which helps to enhance the serene zen-like setting. Karyn brings warmth and caring to all her restaurants and you don’t have to be Vegan to love the food. It’s all good. From the Arugula Pizza, Chorizo Sliders, Butternut Squash Soup, to her wonderful deserts, you will be asking for more. Karyn also owns Karyn’s Cooked on North Wells, and Karyn’s Raw Cafe in Lincoln Park. There she offers an array of holistic classes, detox programs, counseling, yoga, alternative medicine and signature products which can be ordered from her website www.Karynraw.com.
“Making Vegan Sexy” is easy for Karyn. I know because we first met years ago when I was the Health Reporter for Fox Chicago News. Karyn put me on a 60 day raw food diet and detox and it did wonders. We did several on air stories on her passion and mission to help others get healthy. She’s an inspiration and friend and her new restaurant is a Chicago treasure. She writes this on her wall:
“There is no judgement here, no good or bad, yes or no, right or wrong, just a chance for an earth friendly experience for body, mind, and spirit for you and your planet. If you don’t take care of your body, the most magnificent machine you’ll ever be given, where will you live? With love and gratitude, Karyn.”
