A Chicago Gem

I do my best to eat right, exercise, and stay healthy everyday. A big part of that is taking care of my skin. The best teacher and practitioner in Chicago is Marcia Falco Berry. I have put myself in her magical hands for ten years. Marcia is an Aesthetician at Mario Tricoci , with 18 years of experience. Today with great surprise and enthusiasm she introduced me to a new facial treatment using the diamond tip
micro-derm, a little organic lavender granule and an actual diamond tip retexturizing device.
Thanks to Marcia I am my young self again. I am not a sunbather, and I lather on 70 sunscreen, but I still get sun damage from being outside in the summer and my skin takes a beating because I clog my pores with the sun block. Marcia knows how to rebuild the skin cells and restore that natural glow. The new device may be a diamond but the real gem is Marcia–thanks so much for all you do.

Everyone Needs A little Tofu:

I am an aunt again. A proud aunt to my good friend Susan’s new Bearded Collie puppy Tofu. She is just ten weeks old and the cutest, calmest dog I’ve ever seen. Today we took her to Starbuck’s on Rush. You know it’s a scene there but she was the center of attention. A real charmer because just about everyone stopped to see her and and they were smitten. But with a face like that…how could you not want one of your own. There are lots of animals out there who need our love and attention.

Life is One Big To-Do List

It’s true for so many, and it’s the clever title of Terri Lee Ryan’s Book “Life is One Big To-Do List, A Woman’s Life After 40.” I met Terri for the first time today at “Karyn’s on Green” restaurant . She is one of those people you meet for the first time and instantly know I want to be friends with this person and listen to what she has to say. Terri, writer, author, and career coach is an inspiration to women. Not only does she tell it like it is but also she opens your eyes to what really matters in life. Her funny, honest, and spicy book is a must read. It’s a lesson, we all get busy, get immersed in what we need to get accomplished and in the end become “human doers” instead of just being, and well like the cliche, stopping and smelling the roses. Women–it’s simple, life is tough, full of challenges, and then you hit 40 and well hormones jump in and add all types of stress and emotions to problems and situations you thought couldn’t be solved. Read Terri’s book and you’ll be smiling, laughing, and ready to meet any challenge.
