It’s great to be back in Chicago and Hosting Radio at WLSAM890 every morning from
9-11am with John Kass. I want to thank all the listeners for my welcome back and for tuning in and joining the conversation on important topics we discuss every day. From Politics, to Business to local, national, and world events we do our best to report the news. I came home to find my favorite State broke with high unemployment. Chicago’s crime rate soaring and for the first time actually seeing friends move away because of the corruption and high taxes. Well, not me I have had to move away several times but I am always compelled to return to the city I call home and to hopefully see us crawl out of this difficult economic time soon. Please keep tuning in and let me know what’s going on in your neighborhood.

MDconnectME

MDconnectMEEver had a loved one go into the hospital while you wait anxiously to hear how they are. What about a long surgery where you have no idea how the operation is going.
New technology is now changing the way patients can communicate with family and friends. It’s called MDconnectME. CEO, Scott Anzel says “it revolutionizes the efficiency and effectiveness of patient-family-surgeon communication.” Here’s how it works:The patient signs up for the mobile application and submits a list of family and friends to be notified. That allows a surgeon or other staff members to send immediate alerts updating the patients procedures, condition, and recovery. It can reach Grandma in another state, a best friend overseas. Anzel says patients love it because it takes away the stress of having to call everyone or knowing those closest to you are waiting for hours in the hospital just for a shred of information that will lend comfort. Anzel says “Ultimately the provider team becomes more productive and by offering a more compassionate experience for patients and loved ones, their patient satisfaction scores improve.” MDconnectME
is now being used in hospitals across the United States.
